Bangkok’s Best Kept Secret ~ Maduzi Hotel

Bangkok’s Best Kept Secret ~ Maduzi Hotel

Every time I visit Bangkok there is something new I discover. On our most recent trip to the city we found ourselves in a place we had walked by numerous times but had no idea what was inside. From the rooms of the Maduzi Hotel, you can see Terminal 21 shopping mall, the busy street of Sukhumvit, and watch the BTS trains pass by. However, from the gates of the hotel, you would never even know it was there. The Maduzi luxury boutique hotel sits behind an unassuming gate a few steps from the ASOKE station on Sukhumvit.

Once inside the gate, the first thing that strikes you is the style of the hotel. Decorated in dark woods accented by reds and blacks. The Maduzi takes its influences from Japanese and Thai style with modern and sleek elegance. No details were overlooked and the Maduzi is far from a cookie-cutter hotel.

Inside the rooms, the style warms up a bit with lighter woods, cushy bedding, and an overall lighter airy feeling. The bathroom of the Maduzi is very nicely appointed with dual sinks along the stone countertop. The highlight of the bathroom, and maybe the entire room, was the oversized jacuzzi tub large enough for two comfortably. Special touches, like the overflowing infinity style tub that filled from the ceiling, could be found throughout.

Maduzi Hotel

If the highlight of the room wasn’t the tub it would have to be the oversized bed. Custom made for the Maduzi these massive beds dwarf king-size beds and have won the distinction of Bangkok’s largest beds. Just about everyone is guaranteed to fit in the 240 cm (9′-5″) wide custom beds.

The hotel was born to serve business guests and has many features that make a stay for work or a working holiday a little bit easier. The ground floor holds many working spaces and places for meetings. Rooms have internet and some have printers and fax capabilities.

Bangkok

In addition to everything inside the hotel, what’s outside is just as important. The Maduzi sits in a prime location of the city and one of my favorite areas to stay to spend 3 days in Bangkok. Located next to the Asok BTS station gives easy access to the entire city. Sukhumvit road itself is home to some of the best nightlife and restaurants in the city. The busy area on Sukhumvit between Asoke and Nana stations are full with night markets, bars, and restaurants. This is our go-to area of town when deciding where to stay in Bangkok.

If you are looking for a unique place to stay in Bangkok look no further than Bangkok’s best kept secret the Maduzi Hotel. The Maduzi has room types to fit everyone’s needs all in one of the best areas of Bangkok.
