Location
The Moon Palace is located right in Ocho Rios, where you literally can walk the beach to town. There is no need to get in a taxi to go souvenir shopping or search for some authentic Jamaican Jerk Chicken.
The hotel is located at the end of the beach, so no need to worry about pesky vendors.
The Food
Most all-inclusive resort food is just okay, but that is not the case at the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande. Not only do they have eight on-site restaurant options, but they all are great.
I personally loved the fresh taco station at lunch in the Buccaneers Reef restaurant, and for dinner, head to The Grill for steaks.
Live Music
After dinner, there is no better place to head than the Loud Bar for some live Reggae music. The Moon Palace Jamaica has epic concerts. Make sure to check the calendar.
Top shelf drinks
I’ll take a Grey Goose Cosmo & a Jack Daniels and Coke, please! All the top-shelf brands you love are available, yippie to no crappy alcohol hangovers.
Beach Waiters
No need to get up from your beach chair. The beach servers will bring drinks and snacks right to your lounge. They’ll keep the drinks coming all day long!
Swim-up bar
The best bar stool is waist-deep in the pool, where the sunshine is kissing your shoulders, and you’re cooling down in the pool with a frozen daiquiri. You are guaranteed to have a good time at the swim-up bar.
Slides
Those with kids or for the big kid at heart will love the waterslide at the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande. For those with younger children, there is a little tykes water pad.

Beach
Nothing says vacation than BEACH, and the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande has a huge beach with very little foot traffic. No pesky vendors bothering you while you’re just trying to take a nap.
There are more than enough beach chairs to go around, too. It’s not a race to the beach at 6 a.m. Nothing says Jamaica honeymoon more than laying on the white sandy beach.
TIP: For those looking for the best tanning lotion, I swear by Maui Babe. I first discovered this lotion back in 2006 on Maui (go figure). It’s the best browning lotion ever. Make sure to still apply sunscreen underneath.
Comfy Beds
You won’t be missing your bed at home as the beds are super comfortable. You’ll have a hard time getting out of bed…
24 Hour Coffee & Gelato Shop
Real good Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee is available all the time at the 24-hour cafe Boulangerie. No matter what time of day, they have a great selection of gelato, desserts, chocolates, coffees, and much more. I highly suggest the peanut butter dark chocolate squares and the chili chocolate bark.
Sushi
Unlimited FRESH sushi! This is every sushi lover’s dream come true, and there is no other place to take advantage of unlimited sushi than in Jamaica, where the ocean is just steps away.
Dunn’s River Falls
Dunn’s River Falls is one of Jamaica’s top attractions, and it’s less than a ten-minute drive from the Moon Palace.
TIP: When deciding what day to visit Dunn’s River Falls ask the hotel to see which day has the least amount cruise ships. Make sure to bring your own water shoes, or you’ll have to rent them there for $10 it’s cheaper to buy them here on Amazon for only $3.
Room service
There is no need to get out of bed early or get dressed up for dinner at the Moon Palace. Room service is included! Have breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or munchies delivered 24/7. Breakfast in bed is everything it’s cracked up to be and a must when on vacation.
Teen Room/Kid Center
Think just because you have kids a Jamaica trip is out of the question? WRONG. Bring the kids. They will have an epic time in Jamaica.
The Moon Palace Jamaica Grande has a FREE kid center for kids 2-12. That’s right you can schedule a kid-free dinner on the dock or happy hour! There is even a Teen Center complete with arcade games and plenty of entertainment to keep them out of trouble.
5 Swimming Pools
You’ll have your pick of swimming pools at the Moon Palace. They couldn’t just have one pool, but there are 5 swimming pools at the Jamaican Grande.
Free Wifi That Works
No matter where you are at the Moon Palace, the WiFi is free, and it actually works. Sitting on the beach WIFI, in bed in your room WIFI, at the swim-up bar WIFI!
Flo Rider
If you’ve always had the desire to learn how to surf, give the Flo Rider a chance. If you are like me and end up on the ground more than not, you’ll at least be free entertainment for those nearby.
