We are going on an overland safari from Nairobi to Johannesburg next year. Great to read your tips, though I still cant believe I won’t need a super warm sleeping bag!
When you come back to Australia, make sure you go inland, and to Western Australia. Too many tourists just do the east coast, and maybe Uluru. The Kimberly area of northern WA and west coast are stunning, and so different to the east coast. Karajini and Cape Range national parks, the Bungle Bungles, Esperance…..it is a very big diverse country so you need plenty of time to explore it.
