Catamaran Trip – San Juan Del Sur

Catamaran Trip – San Juan Del Sur

A trip offshore on a sailboat has to be one of the best ways to see the bays surrounding the town of San Juan Del Sur.

Sunset

I am a sucker for a sunset, and San Juan del Sur did not disappoint. The view to watch the sun drop into the ocean is worth the ride alone. Everyday, we spent in San Juan we got treated to an amazingly colorful sunset, but luckily the day we were on the boat was by far the most beautiful.

Swim, fish, or just drink

I choose the later with a little bit of swimming, but the boat had some sizeable fishing gear if you were so inclined. I was busy catching a sunset along with some Tona’s to notice if anyone caught any fish.

The boat was a good size catamaran definitely big enough for the waters, yet small enough where we talked to just about everyone on the boat. Meeting and talking with other travelers are some of my favorite moments. We sailed with Captain Ben, aboard the Nica Sail and Surf boat.

Hi! I've been following you two on FB for a little while, and decided to see what you two had on Nicaragua. I'm leaving for Nica in two weeks as a solo backpacker -- 3 days in Granada, 3 days in Ometepe, 3 days in San Juan del Sur. Love this Catamaran trip! Do you think it'd be a good idea for solo travellers, or did mainly couples sign up for the Nica's Sail and Surf cruises?
