1. Waldvogel Pumpkin Farm – Largest Pumpkin Patch in Wisconsin
An hour northwest of Milwaukee is the largest pumpkin patch in Wisconsin. A family-run place for over 40 years, Waldvogel Pumpkin Farm, is one of the best family places to take your kids for a day of fall-themed fun.
With over 70 attractions, it’s almost like a mini amusement park. Some of the farm’s activities include a big castle playground with slides, a giant wooden swing perfect for a family photo, farm animals, a nine-hole mini-golf, and a 150-foot super slide. 2. Apple Holler
Nothing says fall like an apple orchard! Apple Holler is a 78-acre farm park and apple orchard located half an hour south of Milwaukee. It was originally a dairy farm, but today is a u-pick for peaches, pears, pumpkins, and nine varieties of apples.
After you’ve selected your pumpkins or apples (or both), check out the many other things to do. The Red Barn store sells products made with farm fruit like pies, jams, cider, or their famous caramel apples. Their adjoining bakery has a huge variety of apple-themed pastries.
The Applewood Grill Café serves delicious smoked sausages, pulled pork, and house-made apple cider in the beer garden overlooking the orchards. They also serve breakfast, sandwiches for lunchtime, and endless desserts like pumpkin donuts, apple pie, and cinnamon rolls.

3. Swan’s Pumpkin Farm
Swan’s Pumpkin Farm is located in Racine County, with a great harvest festival for families and kids of all ages. The front yard is full of thousands of pumpkins for you to choose from.
Some older kids will really love the scary Witch Hollow Maze, a corn maze with goblins waiting to pop out at you, and the nearby graveyard. The farm’s self-proclaimed “not so scary stuff” includes a petting zoo where kids can feed the goats, sheep, donkeys, and even turkeys, tractor hayrides that tour the farm, and pony rides for younger kids on the weekends.
Their Country Market sells seasonal produce, locally made preserves, crafts, gifts, and baked goods. Looking for something to eat on the go while you wander around the farm? 4. The Little Farmer
Despite the name, there’s nothing little about this farm! The Little Farmer is an apple orchard and pumpkin patch offering both fresh-picked apples (five varieties) and pumpkins, or u-pick. Check out their old brick Applehouse, which dates from the 1940s when apples were stored in underground cellars. Today, it serves as the sales area, bakery, and caramel apple station.
Outside, there are tons to do! There’s a large playground area best suited to younger kids, but a massive straw mountain pile for all ages right beside it. There’s also a six-acre corn maze, hayrides, and a barnyard where you can feed the goats (goat pellets sold on-site). Don’t forget to say hi to Ginger, the Scottish Highland Cow.

5. Jerry Smith Produce & Pumpkin Farm
Jerry Smith Produce & Pumpkin Farm is a family-owned farm in Kenosha. They are a popular spot for family outings in the fall because of their “Fall Fun Checklist.”
They have a traditional pumpkin patch where you can select pumpkins and other decorative gourds for your home. There is also a huge bounce pad for kids, a petting zoo with over 50 animals, and unlimited hayrides in the activity area. Of course, no pumpkin farm is complete without a corn maze; this one is over six acres large.
There are tons of fall treats if you get hungry. They make apple cider donuts, caramel-dipped apples, and their special sugar cookies with frosting. During the fall season, there is also a concession selling sausages, chili, hot dogs, and pizza.

6. Skelly’s Farm Market
Skelly’s Farm Market is a seasonal family-fun farm located in Janesville. They have a popular summer produce season selling strawberries and other produce, but their fall season is just as popular. Fall-themed activities are open from Labor Day through Halloween.
Farm activities include two corn mazes ($9 entry per person), a choose-your-own-adventure wagon ride ($6 per person), and the popular apple cannons ($6-$12), where you can shoot apples at targets in an open field.
The fall bakery is open every day during the fall season and sells homemade treats like different flavored donuts (made fresh every morning), caramel apples, apple crisps, turnovers, and pie. Some treats are only available on the weekends. Grab a hot cup of coffee (made using Berres Brothers beans, a Wisconsin roastery) or a hot apple cider on a chilly day.

7. Elegant Farmer
The Elegant Farmer is, first and foremost, a grocery store with an award-winning bakery and deli. They have been accredited by some of America’s biggest publications, including Gourmet Magazine and the Wall Street Journal, as having the best pie in the country.
They host an annual Autumn Festival, which operates on weekends in September and October in the on-site Smilin’ Barn. They offer both apple picking and pumpkin choosing, and there are train rides, pony rides, and hayrides that kids will love. The barn also has a café serving homey, comforting food items like pulled pork sandwiches, chicken pot pie, and their famous cider donuts.
There’s also laser tag and a corn maze for your more adventurous kiddos.

8. Polly’s Pumpkin Patch
Polly’s Pumpkin Patch is a family-owned farm and market just outside of Chilton. Having opened just in 2003, it has quickly grown into one of the best pumpkin patches in the area for fall activities and family fun.
They have over 40 varieties of pumpkins and gourds in every size and color imaginable that you can select for your fall home decor. Some pumpkins are as heavy as 100 pounds. Aside from pumpkins, you can also find hay bales, dried corn, and other decorations for sale. There is also a 15-acre corn maze, a 40-foot slide, hayrides, a petting zoo, and corn cannons.
The on-site farm store sells a variety of food items, some homemade and some from local Wisconsin suppliers. Things like freshly baked pies and other baked goods, local honey, pure maple syrup, jams, pickled vegetables, and local cheese curds are just some of what you can find in the shop.

9. Bushel and a Peck Market
Bushel and a Peck is a farm and orchard located between the Chippewa River and the Eau Claire Valley. The orchard itself dates back over a century and now grows over 30 types of apples on over 20,000 trees. They also offer raspberry picking from the fall until the first signs of winter weather.
Their on-site bakery has a carefully chosen selection of pre-picked pumpkins, but while you’re here, you won’t leave with just some Halloween gourds! The bakery sells homemade apple desserts, like pie, crisp, turnovers, and cookies. On weekends, hot food like bratwurst and hot dogs are also served. Or, grab one of their apple cider floats for something really unique.

10. Porter’s Patch
Porter’s Patch is located in Bonduel, and the name of their fall festival – Farmtoberfest – is enough to make anyone get into the mood for cider, pumpkin picking, and hayrides.
Farmtoberfest takes place on the 27-acre property, and the $10 admission gives you access to all their fun activities. Wagon rides, sack races, and an eight-acre corn maze are some of the fun activities that your kids will love. There’s also a craft shed where kids can make their own fall bouquets, a barn with pigs, goats, and chickens, and a large pumpkin patch where you can select your soon-to-be jack-o’-lanterns.
Hungry? No problem, because Porter’s Patch has food available on site, catered from the nearby El Agave Mexican Grill & Cantina.

11. Treinen Farm Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
Treinen Farm is a pumpkin patch and corn maze farm run by a family of four. Wander through the 18-acre pumpkin patch with a wheelbarrow and pick your favorites – priced per pumpkin based on size.
Or, check out the corn maze, consistently rated among the top 10 in the country. Designed and conceived by the family’s matriarch Angie, the corn mazes are themed differently every year, sketched out and planned, and cut into the field by a specialized crew. The aerial images are impressive but getting lost in the maze is just as fun!
Other activities include a mini rock-climbing wall, a giant chess game, a hay pit with fun slacklines, a petting zoo, and even a forested area with hiking trails.

Located in West Salem, the Hidden Trails Corn Maze farm is best known for its incredible corn mazes. Find each of the 15 checkpoints to get discounts at local businesses inside the two largest ones. The two smaller mazes are youngster-friendly and have mystery storylines to solve.
Hit up the pumpkin patch to choose your Halloween jack-o’-lanterns or some decorative squash and gourds. There are also straw bales and dried corn bundles for sale, perfect for balcony decor. Nearby to the corn maze, the farm’s huge Fun Park has over 20 activities for you and your kids.
