Café 106 is located in Downtown Ludington and has an indoor dining area that offers fast, friendly service and homemade breakfasts made from scratch with care. This small-town diner is an excellent place for breakfast.

If you are looking for a delicious hearty meal, then you will want to try out the famous sausage gravy and biscuits option, Country Benedict, or Janet’s Stuffed Hashbrowns, which is one of the best things on the menu. They also serve local items like homemade strawberry jam and locally sourced maple syrup that are perfect for pancakes or waffles.

This cozy cafe serves a variety of breakfast options, including a healthy meals menu section that includes: Turkey Bacon Swirl Sandwich, Strawberry Goat Cheese Salad, and Garden Omelet.

2. House of Flavors Restaurant

If you are a morning person, House of Flavors is definitely the restaurant for you, as they have an Early Bird breakfast special before 9 AM for only $9. It comes with two eggs, ham, bacon or sausage, hash browns, toast, or pancakes – all the makings of a perfect breakfast to start off the day!

This is one of the most affordable breakfast locations as there are a variety of breakfast meal choices for under $10 for large portions. Some breakfast options you will want to try are the Gobbler Stack or Strawberry Pancakes or Waffles if you are craving something sweet.

House of Flavors has only indoor seating in this unique 1950s retro diner-themed restaurant that has a pink and green color theme and nostalgic items like jukeboxes, ice cream parlor, soda fountains, and classic diner foods.

If you love ice cream like I do, House of Flavors has one of the best ice cream menus I have ever seen. Think of old school ice cream parlors with tons of ice cream sundaes, shakes, and tons of ice cream flavors to choose from.

House of Flavors restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. It is a great option for a casual lunch, they have an extensive lunch menu. If you are looking for the best place to eat with kids. This was one of my favorite restaurants, and you’ll find it in our best restaurants in Ludington article.

3. Brenda’s Harbor Café

Brenda’s Harbor Cafe is open for dining in and takeout for breakfast. This nautical-themed restaurant has one of the largest varieties of breakfast options in all of Ludington.

They have their regular menu but also serve senior and children’s portions at a reduced cost. Known for good food and friendly staff!

They have many yummy sweet breakfast options like Stuffed French Toast, Swedish and Buttermilk Pancakes, and their specialty Swedish Burrito, which is a Swedish pancake with sour cream and your choice of fresh fruit topping. Savory options include Country Skillets, Omelets, and Biscuits smothered in gravy.

Brunch Babes food truck is run by three cousins who appeared on “The Great Food Truck Race” and were inspired to open up their own brunch food trunk. For a more casual breakfast, head to the 10 Spot in Ludington.

Brunch Babes only use locally sourced ingredients as they have sustainability in mind. This fun-loving food truck uses a very unique flavor profile to feature amazingly delicious brunch foods.

Every day they feature loaded tots, including rueben tots with corned beef, Cuban tots with pulled pork, Benny and tots with poached eggs and bacon, cheeseburger tots with ground beef, and a sweet potato tots option with french toast frosting and cinnamon. They also feature unique breakfast sandwiches like chorizo and egg tacos and donut sammies.

5. Kuntry Kubbard

This small family-owned restaurant features booth-style indoor dining that offers generous portions and a great breakfast. Kuntry Kubbard serves all your favorite breakfast meals, including omelets, skillets, wraps, pancakes, waffles, and French toast. They offer endless cups of coffee and even give you the whole pot on your table.

The warm atmosphere of this restaurant makes visitors feel at home with excellent customer service and fresh food. Kuntry Kubbard offers a seniors discount and is family-friendly.

This historic family-owned business has been a staple in the Ludington community for over 80 years and has been voted the “Best Breakfast in Town” for its home cooking and hearty portions. When you think of good old-fashioned family restaurants, this is it!

Serving a variety of cold breakfast options such as cereal, fruit, muffins, and bread. Hot breakfasts include breakfast wraps, pancakes, corned beef hash, french toast, and omelets. One item on the menu you don’t want to miss is the Old Hamlin Skillet which is fries, sauteed mushrooms, onions, broccoli, green pepper, and tomatoes topped with Colby jack or feta cheese.

7. Scotty’s Restaurant

Scotty’s is a family-owned restaurant that has a relaxing environment and classic decor. Scotty’s is primarily a lunch and dinner restaurant; however, it does serve brunch once a week on Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM.

If you enjoy sweet breakfast dishes, you can choose from Swedish pancakes, texas french toast, and a giant cinnamon roll. If you prefer traditional breakfast foods, then you will find omelets and specialty items like Scotty’s scramble, which is a mixture of eggs and fresh vegetables, classic eggs benedict, or prime rib and eggs.

8. Red Rooster Coffee

Red Rooster is known for its exceptional quality organic coffee that comes from farms that treat the land and quality with respect as social and environmental responsibility is their top priority, so they only serve the best organic coffee.

If you are like us and like visiting local coffee shops when traveling, this is a great place to grab your morning coffee to start the day and some baked goods to take with you as you visit all the attractions Ludington has to offer.

In addition to coffee, they sell other hot beverages, including lattes, espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, Ghirardelli hot chocolate, and tea. They have a small menu of baked items, including organic cookies, scones, and bread.

9. Chef John’s Bakery and Café

This quaint bakery serves European baked goods plus breakfast, such as egg chipotle with cornbread, quiche, and breakfast torte. Chef John’s Bakery believes in using the best ingredients, so they bake fresh bread daily that is used in their breakfast sandwiches, use red skin potatoes, and only use eggs for the National egg layers association.

This small cafe is a hidden gem not to be missed, and while they have only a few tables, they have a large selection of options for takeout.

On one of our busy mornings, we grabbed coffee at Red Rooster and then got pastries to go from Chef John’s, which was only a short walk away.

This is the perfect place if you are looking for a quick breakfast that you can take with you on your return trip on the S.S Badger and you don’t want your typical fast food place.

Big Apple Bagels is known for its homemade bagels, sandwiches, muffins, and cookies, which are the perfect breakfast choices for a busy morning when you need to grab something quick yet delicious.

They offer a small indoor seating area where you can enjoy great service and freshly made gourmet coffee that is hand-roasted in small batches. Big Apple Bagel serves yummy cake-like muffins that are made with soybean oil which offers a healthier gourmet muffin.

You also have to try their always freshly baked from scratch bagels in a variety of flavors with premium cream cheese. Lastly, don’t forget to try their hand-crafted sandwiches made to order at any time of the day.
