The Stuffed Pig is our favorite place for breakfast in Marathon! Go early, though. They are very popular and always have a crowd waiting. We aim for 8 am (thank the two toddlers for that) and never have more than a 5-minute wait.

Looking for that local feel? The Stuffed Pig is the place for you. This Marathon breakfast staple is known for its home-cooked meals and friendly service. As they claim to be locals’ place for gossip, great food, and great service since 1984, you’re sure to feel like a part of the community when you eat here.

Their breakfast menu has all your favorites and unique items you won’t find anywhere else, such as alligator tail for breakfast. If you’re feeling adventurous, give it a try! But if not, their eggs benedict are some of the best that I’ve ever had.

2. Stouts Restaurant

Stouts Restaurant has been a local favorite since 1964 and is known for its delicious sandwiches. But they also serve up some mean breakfast dishes. This classic diner feels like home with its cozy booths and vintage decor.

A must-try restaurant in Marathon, the Cracked Conch Cafe is a local favorite. They’re open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serve up some of the most delicious food in town. Its a great place to grab something to eat no matter what time of day.

5. Porky’s Bayside

Porky’s Bayside is one of the most popular breakfast places in Marathon. A cute little tiki diner with a large outdoor seating area with views of the water. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a slow morning and watch the boats go by.

Their menu has all of your favorite breakfast items like eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. They also have some unique items like the breakfast burrito and the breakfast quesadilla. And if you’re feeling really hungry, try their famous Porky’s platter. It comes with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and home fries. So it’s sure to fill you up!

Marathon Bagel Co. & Deli is the perfect place to grab a quick breakfast on the go. They have a wide selection of bagels, sandwiches, and pastries to choose from. They are considered the first authentic bagel shop in the Keys and are a huge hit!

Enjoy a bagel and lox with only the freshest fish, or try one of their breakfast sandwiches filled with cheese and eggs on your choice of 12 bagels. The owners have done a great job of gathering recipes from the best bagel companies in New York and New Jersey to ensure the authenticity of their bagels.

7. 7 Mile Grill

The 7 Mile Grill has been operating since 1954 and continues to draw in new customers every year while maintaining its regulars. Open at 7 AM for breakfast. This should be your first stop in Marathon. The 7 Mile Bridge connects the Gulf side of Marathon to the Atlantic side, and this restaurant has a perfect view of it.

Choose from one of their extensive breakfast combos that come with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and home fries. Or go for something lighter, like their fruit and yogurt bowl. But no matter what you order, you’re sure to enjoy the view and the delicious food.

Along with their hearty breakfasts, they are also known to have the best key lime pie in the state, so you can enjoy a nice dessert with coffee or take some to go for later in the day.

8. La Nina Restaurant

La Nina Restaurant is a cozy little cafe that is perfect for a casual Cuban breakfast. This is my favorite place to enjoy a cup of coffee as it is freshly brewed and so flavorful. Their breakfast menu has all the Cuban classics you would expect, like croquetas, medianoche sandwiches, and tostones.

I highly recommend their breakfast platter, which comes with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and home fries. The service is always excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. If you’re looking for a delicious and affordable breakfast in Marathon, this is the place to go!

9. Wooden Spoon

A quirky little diner with what seems like hundreds of wooden spoons on the wall, The Wooden Spoon is exactly what you would expect out of an American diner. They serve all of the classic breakfast dishes like pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. But they also have some unique items on their menu, such as the blueberry ricotta pancakes and the shrimp and grits.

Watch your meal being made right behind the counter while enjoying a cup of coffee and chatting with locals. You can’t go wrong starting your day at the Wooden Spoon.

**On our last visit, the service wasn’t the best. I am hoping they get back to what they used to be. We will stop back in on our next trip and see if it has improved. If so, it’ll stay on the list. If not, I’ll remove it.
