The Philippines in Pictures – Video Post

We spent 23 amazing days traveling the Philippines and were fortunate to visit Manila, Boracay, Coron, and El Nido. There are tons more tourist spots in the Philippines, we are already planning our return. There were so many things to do in El Nido we didn’t have time to do them all, El Nido was the best place in the Philippines. Our favorite viewpoint was the iconic Kayangan Lake. After watching our Philippines pictures video we think you’ll start planning your next vacation to the Philippines.

El Nido is gorgeous, but I hope it doesn’t end up like Phi Phi has. I do suggest you get there soon, because it is changing fast and now that they have an airport it will be time….

Nice video and great to know you enjoyed your time in the country. On your next visit, you might want to explore other islands in the Visayas. You can start by basing yourself in Cebu. Travel north of Cebu to Malapascua island for an amazing beach and a chance to dive with Thresher Sharks. You can also hop to nearby Bantayan island for more amazing beaches. Then head south of Cebu island to dive and experience the sardine run in Moalboal the further to the town of Oslob to snorkel with Whalesharks. Other options from Cebu is to head to Dumaguete and dive in Apo island. You can also take a short ferry from Cebu to Bohol island and snorkel/dive Balicasag, see the Chocolate Hills and Tarsiers or do more beaches in Panglao. Other worthy islands to visit would be the mystical island of Siquijor or the volcanic island of Camiguin, just to name a few. There are so much more places that you can visit i.e. Caramoan (similar to El Nido and setting of Survivor 25 & 26), Surfing and island hopping in Siargao, trekking the rice terraces of Banaue and Batad in the north, swim with more Whalesharks in Donsol and Padre Burgos, the scenery of Batanes…among many others. Hope this helps in planning your return trip for More Fun in the Philippines!

Thank you BP for such a great detailed list. All sound amazing and not that hard to get to. Plus I know flights to Cebu aren’t bad we should start that way next time. We both wanted to do Bohol and Malapascua island, but now more great options! Thanks again for the great suggestions.

If you need to recharge, you should hit Bantayan Island. Good beaches and tranquil. The quieter version of Boracay.

Never heard of that one, and would like something quieter than Boracay for next. Boracay was great, will be back some day for sure but want to discover new islands as well.

So far Palawan and Boracay but I think I may be able to get one more in. So much to do on those two though and I am starting to travel a little slower these days.

Thank you for the beautiful comments from our country. I found your blog reallyyy helpful as well. I would suggest the you visit the following places, too when you come back: SIQUIJOR has one of the most beautiful beaches (and falls) in the Philippines. While snorkeling and diving can be experienced in APO ISLAND. You can reach the 2 islands, plus OSLOB Cebu for whale shark watching, through DUMAGUETE. The town has lots of foreigners and local tourists alike as you can enjoy cheap accommodation and unlimited food choices. We are, in fact, going back there for the 2nd time this summer 2015. Who knows we might meet you guys there like the other 2 foreign couples we’ve met last year who went backpacking in Dmgte and the islands as well.
