Ok, so now you have the Babyzen Yoyo stroller, BUT what comes in the box isn’t really enough to make it a great travel stroller. If you are a mom like me that needs a few accessories to make everyday life and travel easier, you’ll want to invest in a few of the best Babyzen Yoyo accessories.
The Babyzen Yoyo is a popular and versatile stroller that can be used for both newborn infants and toddlers. Purchasing any of these helpful accessories will improve the functionality of the Babyzen Yoyo stroller.
The Babyzen Stroller company has created over 15 different unique Babyzen Yoyo stroller accessories, including leg rests, rain covers, cup holders, and much more!
Adding accessories to any stroller can make it more comfortable for your child by adding features like increased sun protection and more functional and convenient for parents by adding more storage.
Families on the go or those that travel much like we do, rely on strollers to meet their needs so while the Babyzen Yoyo is an amazing stroller to begin with, simply adding accessories can upgrade this stroller to a whole new level. By adding new accessories, families may find they increase the longevity and convenience of the use of the Yoyo stroller.
Having children should not stop parents from enjoying life on the go or compromising their lifestyle. So using these added Babyzen Yoyo accessories can help parents continue to explore, travel and meet up with friends. We always travel with at least one stroller, usually either two single travel strollers or our Zoe double stroller.
This stroller can be adapted throughout your baby’s growth with the use of accessories as you can start with the Yoyo Newborn Pack and then customize your stroller with the 6 Months+ Pack that allows you to choose colors and customize based on your needs.

Top 12 Best Babyzen Yoyo Accessories
1. Stroller Bumper Bar
A bumper bar is a must for my kids and me. I admit that I don’t always buckle my 3-year-old in, but I feel fine knowing the bumper bar is there. Both my kids also love to hang onto the bumper bar.
Bumper Bars offer an added level of protection, and the extra layer of foam makes it comfortable for children to lean on. Kids can be super messy, so the universal stroller bumper bar was designed with an outer cover that can be unzipped and easily washed.
I bought this bar, it easily attaches, and the stroller can continue to be folded without removing it. This is a universal design but is compatible with the Babyzen YOYO.
2. Parent Organizer
The Buggy Buddy Stroller Organizer is universal and keeps parents’ essentials organized and easily accessible when using the stroller. The most important feature in my mind is the two insulated drink holders – one on each end.
Using hook and loop fasteners, this organizer is compatible with various strollers and features a large storage pocket and a small zippered pocket for money and other important items, such as car keys.
I have this cheap one, I got it on sale for under $10, but the normal price is under $15. It does the job and isn’t huge!
3. Cup holder
If you don’t have an organizer, then you will still need a universal cup holder to hold your coffee and keep your hands free while you’re on the move using the Babyzen Yoyo. This multifunctional cup holder can be used on strollers, walkers, bikes, and scooters.
The cup holder rotates 360 degrees and can be attached to either side of the handlebar using a clamp that has a rubber pad to avoid sliding. The cup holder can hold baby bottles, beverage cups, coffee mugs, and any other drink with a diameter of less than 85mm.
This cup holder is universal, and I have personally used it with a Doona, Joolz Aer, and most recently with the Babyzen Yoyo. The width of the clamp can be adjusted to work on different brands of strollers.
4. Snack tray
Snack attacks often happen when traveling with kids, so you will want a snack tray to keep a few snacks available for your child to eat while on the move to keep your child from getting angry.
This spill-resistant snack container and drink holder uses a quick attach clamp that works on multiple strollers and car seats and is dishwasher friendly. This snack tray is also compatible with the Joolz Aer and the Zoe Stroller. I have personally used it with both of those strollers.
5. Stroller hooks
Stroller hooks are a parents best friend, especially when traveling or at an airport. As you can see in the above photo, we had my son’s Wayb Pico travel car seat hooked with stroller hooks to the back of our Joolz Aer stroller. The Babyzen Yoyo can carry this load, too. I just didn’t get a picture of it. You will need these jumbo stroller hooks for something this big.
Parents always have way too many items with them, and sometimes the storage on strollers can be limited, so this simple stroller hook creates a durable and safe way to hang bags off the stroller without tipping it over. The hook is easy to use, can be attached and unattached using one, and is made of premium metal, so it can hold 4 shopping bags or up to 5kg.
I will say the big jumbo hooks do get in the way of folding the Yoyo. You need to remove them before folding it. The jumbo hooks fold fine with the Joolz Aer, which is my preferred stroller. Read my complete Joolz Aer review here.
6. Babyzen Yoyo Board
There are lots of different attachable boards. However, none of them fold up as well as the Babyzen board, so you may decide buying the brand-name version is worth the larger investment.
The Babyzen Yoyo board is perfect for families with multiple children as some kids will want to ride in the stroller but be too big, so the board is the perfect way to catch a ride.
The attachable board can be quickly attached to the stroller frame and can be used safely by children who weigh 45 pounds or less. With a simple click, your second child can use the saddle seat or stand on the platform and hold on to the stroller.
There are several off-brand boards that can hold up to 60 lbs. I personally haven’t used any of them, so I can’t recommend one.
7. Cheap rain cover
The Babyzen YOYO brand rain cover is overpriced, so instead, I would buy a Universal Stroller rain cover as it is much cheaper and just as effective.
A rain cover will allow children to breathe comfortably inside the stroller yet be protected from the elements, including rain, snow, and wind. These covers are clear so children can still easily view their new surroundings.
8. Stroller Leg Rest
The stroller leg rest is a bonus add-on that adds extra padding for comfort and makes it easier for children to take naps on the go. The leg rest can stay on when you fold the stroller, which makes it super convenient to use, and you can still fold the stroller with one hand.
The stroller leg rest easily attaches to the stroller with two clips and is entirely machine washable, and adds almost 3 inches in length to the seat. The leg rest has two different positions: reclined or seated.
Best Newborn Babyzen Yoyo Accessories
The Babyzen Yoyo is great for families who travel or are always on the go as with the use of the newborn bassinet pack and Car seat Adapters Accessories. The Yoyo stroller is perfect for families with newborns.
*Note I did not use any of the newborn accessories, as I didn’t buy the Yoyo until my daughter was one years old.
Both accessories are sold separately but will provide babies with comfort and parents with convenience as it makes it easier for babies to travel from car to stroller and take naps on the go using the bassinet accessory.
Please remember that the Babyzen Yoyo was designed as a lightweight travel stroller and therefore has less cushioning than a traditional larger stroller. However, with the use of accessories, it can become pretty comparable in terms of comfort.
9. YOYO+ Car Seat Adapters
Just because you have a child doesn’t mean you need to change your on-the-go lifestyle, which is why Babyzen Yoyocreated a car seat adapter pack to make it easy to attach the car seat to the stroller.
The Car Seat Adapter is compatible with: Cybex Aton Q & Aton 2, Nuna Pipa & Pipa Lite, Clek, and Maxi Cosi Mico Max Plus. The adapters easily click in, and the stroller can still be folded with them attached.
10. YOYO Newborn Pack Bassinet
If the child can sit up unassisted, it is recommended you transition to the regular seat. The newborn seat does still include a five-point harness to ensure the baby is securely fastened. The Newborn Pack can be attached in one simple click to the frame, allowing parents to easily switch between the newborn and the regular seat.
The Bassinet-style seat is soft and cozy and allows newborns to sleep completely flat, which pediatricians recommend allowing for a healthy spine and lung development. The bassinet meets safety guidelines for safe sleep, which is important to parents, and can be used from birth until 22 pounds.
Other Babyzen Yoyo Accessories
The accessories above are used by parents on a daily basis, placing them in the Top 10 Babyzen Yoyo accessory list.
However, we also wanted to provide parents with an extensive list of all accessories available for this stroller, as each family has unique needs. The following Babyzen Yoyo stroller accessories provide extra comfort and convenience but are not used as often.
11. Babyzen Yoyo Footmuff
For those living in colder climates, you can use a blanket to provide extra warmth. However, the Yoyo footmuff is a much better option. The footmuff is made with a fleece hood and Sherpa lining that provides extra comfort and warmth and is completely machine washable.
It is designed to perfectly fit the stroller and has a zipper to allow you to customize how snug the footmuff is always, as it can be used fully zipped or partially zipped. When not in use, you can use a small carrying bag to store the footmuff, and the use of the footmuff does not interfere with folding the stroller.
I personally don’t like the parasol. It is very awkward to use and does not provide coverage from all angles. I like this one better.
Providing sun protection for young children is important, and the parasol option is an attachable umbrella for the stroller. You can add a pop of color with the parasol as it has multiple color options and has UPF 50+ technology to protect from the sun’s rays.
An alternate sun shade that I like much better is the Baby Stroller Sun Shade is universal and can adapt to work with the Babyzen Yoyo. The sun shade provides protection from rain, wind, and UV rays to offer children the ultimate protection from the elements, including glare from the sun.
The stroller shade is easy to use and is made of a lightweight lycra material that offers good airflow, water resistance, UPF 50+, and offers a larger and wider cover that can be adjusted. The sunshade can be adjusted using straps to provide different levels of coverage and has a metal frame to provide durability and sturdiness from the wind.
13. Travel bag
The Yoyo meets cabin dimensions when folded up. We always bring our stroller on the plane and don’t feel a need for a bag. Almost all flight attendants know the Yoyo stroller by name and allow it on board with no problem.
However, if you plan to gate check your stroller on the plane, I highly recommend a bag to protect your Babyzen Yoyo stroller, as baggage on airplanes is treated pretty rough.
This travel bag is lightweight and folds easily to make storage easier and has an extra pocket at the front for some added storage of small items. This bag has a strong carry strap so you can carry the stroller when not in use or hang the bag up on the stroller when you are done using the travel bag and have reached your destination.
There are much cheaper stroller bags that work. I have this cheap stroller bag that I have used for several of my strollers.
14. Insect Cover
The insect cover protects babies from insects and mosquitos, which can be helpful if you do a lot of walking in the evenings when bugs are more present. This bug net is easy to install, provides great airflow, and protects from all small bugs. The insect cover can be used with the newborn stroller or 6+ month stroller set up, providing great visibility.
If you don’t want to buy an additional cover, then you can also use the rain cover to provide protection from bugs; however, it is not as breathable.
Other FAQ Babyzen YOYO Questions
Is the Babyzen Yoyo good for everyday use?
The Yoyo is perfect for everyday use and also is a great option for travel as it is very light and compact, which is perfect for air travel. It can be used as a parent-facing newborn nest until 6 months and then transition to a forward-facing everyday stroller.
Is Babyzen Yoyo good for all-terrain?
The Yoyo stroller was not designed for all-terrain use as it is compact, lightweight, and meant for flat surfaces like shopping malls, airports, and paved sidewalks. This stroller has very small wheels, so navigating gravel, cobblestone, and other rocky paths would be difficult. So if you are looking to maneuver over rugged terrain, I would recommend a stroller with larger wheels and more suspension.
If you are looking to upgrade your stroller, you may consider the Babyzen Yoyo Leg Rest, as it does improve the stability and comfort of your child on slightly uneven pathways, such as between sidewalk tiles.
What ages is the Yoyo stroller for?
The Babyzen Yoyo is designed to be used from newborn to 4 years old. Depending on your child’s weight and height, you may be able to use it longer.
The stroller will grow with your child from the Newborn pack (bassinet style set that can be used flat) to the 6+ pack, which can be used as a regular seat from 6 months onwards and reclines close to flat to make it a comfy spot for children to nap on the go!
It has an adjustable backrest and footrest that will grow with your child and accommodate their height and weight up to 48.5 pounds, so some larger children may outgrow the stroller by 3-4 years of age.
Is the Babyzen Yoyo worth the money?
This is a frequently asked question. Yes, the Babyzen Yoyo is definitely an investment as it is one of the more expensive lightweight travel strollers on the market. However, we feel it is worth the investment for the following reasons:
- Easy to use – The stroller is easy to use on the go as it only requires one hand to fold and unfold.
- Lightweight and Compact – This stroller folds down really small, so it will easily fit in the trunk of any rental car and is easy to use on public transportation. The Babyzen Yoyo weighs only 13 pounds, so it is very light to lift.
- Durable and Built to Last – It can be confidently used for many years with multiple kids. It has a weight limit of 48.5 pounds, so it can be used for a long time.
While the Yoyo isn’t my favorite travel stroller, I do still think it is worth the price.
Can you take the Babyzen Yoyo stroller on the airplane?
The simple answer is YES, you can bring the Yoyo on the plane! The Babyzen Yoyo stroller has the following dimensions: (52 x 44 x 18 cm / 20.5 x 17.3 x 7.1 in), which meets the cabin luggage limits of many airlines.
Ultimately, each airline decides what they will and will not allow, as some airlines require the stroller to have a protective cover or bag to be used.
The Babyzen YOYO is a long-term investment that is compact, lightweight, and can be customized to each family’s needs using the abovementioned accessories. The Babyzen YOYO accessories can provide added comfort and convenience for families on the move!
