What if you Lose your Stroller or it Gets Stolen?

My biggest tip for those bringing a stroller to Disney or just traveling with a stroller, in general, is to put this AirTag on the stroller. I put an AirTag hidden in the stroller organizer zipper part, or you could hide it in the fabric.

I use this AirTag holder. You can easily put it on the straps. They even make AirTag holders that are like bracelets for kids.

Have you seen stroller parking areas at Disney?!??! If you are like me and you always forget where you park, whether it is a car or a stroller, an AirTag will help guide you right to your stroller.

We use AirTags traveling with our luggage, too. It is nice to know that our bag, or our stroller, in this case, made it on the plane.

If you lose your stroller or someone accidentally takes it, you can find it with Find My on your iPhone, and it can lead you right to your stroller and play a sound from the AirTag. We now have AirTags on our keys, all of our luggage, and strollers.

Can you Rent Strollers at Disney?

Yes, you can rent a stroller directly from Disney. They offer single and double stroller rentals.

The stroller rental at Disney World and Disneyland is conveniently located near the entrance of each park. You can show your prepaid receipt, and you’ll be strolling in no time.

The strollers at Disney Parks changed in 2022. If you rented a stroller from Disney in the prior years, they are not the same. Now, the rental strollers at Disney are red with images of Mickey and Minnie on the canopy — super cute.

Consider a multi-day rental if you plan on more than one day at Disney. It brings down the rental fee by a few bucks, which is nice.

Something to consider is that the rental strollers at Disney are functional, but they are not very comfortable for your child.

These cute Disney World strollers are made with hard, stiff plastic, are durable, and are easy to clean. But it means that they don’t recline. So, if your little one needs to nap, it’s practically impossible.

The Disney rental strollers’ plastic can also get hot in the summer sun. I suggest bringing a towel or something for kids to sit on so it’s not burning them. I personally don’t think they are a good baby stroller option for a child under 12 months.

Disney rents strollers at the main theme parks and at Disney Springs. But they are for use only within the park. So you cannot bring the stroller back to your hotel.

toddler girl riding the carousel at Disney

If you have a park hopper pass and plan on visiting more than one theme park in a day, you’ll have to return it before leaving the one park and getting a new one at the second theme park. Which is super inconvenient…

I personally think it is better to buy this cheap Disney stroller instead. If you add up how much you’d spent on renting a stroller at Disney vs. buying one of the cheapest Disney strollers, odds are it will be the same price or less.

Plus, you will save time on picking up and dropping off the stroller. Even the cheapest Disney strollers on the market will be more comfortable than the hot, hard plastic Disney rental strollers.

Another option is to rent a stroller from a third-party vendor. Companies like BabyQuip and Kingdom Strollers specialize in renting strollers for families to use at Disney.

The same dimension stroller rules apply at the parks, but these companies have got it covered. Most will also deliver the stroller to your hotel or resort, which is super convenient.

How Much Does it Cost to Rent a Stroller at Disney?

The cost of renting a stroller at Disney depends on the size of the stroller and how many days you’ll be renting a stroller.

The below prices are for Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida. Note the prices for renting a stroller at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are $5 more per day.

To rent a stroller at Disney just for one day, a single stroller costs $15. Multi-day rental of a single stroller brings the cost down to $13 per day.

Renting a double stroller at Disney costs $31 per day. If you’re there for more than one day, you can rent a Disney stroller for $27 per day.

How Big of a Stroller Can You Bring to Disney?

Disney permits strollers that are no larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long.

Most strollers meet this size limit, but others do not, especially some of the jumbo strollers on the market today.

It’s best to check the exact size of your stroller before your Disney trip. Families are often turned away because their strollers don’t meet the requirement.

If this happens, you’ll lose precious theme park time bringing your stroller back to your car.

To reduce stress, I’ve listed 10 of the best strollers for Disney. Including five of the best double strollers for Disney and five single strollers to use at Disney.

Veer stroller wagon toddler pushing baby

Can you Bring Wagons to Disney?

Sadly no. Wagons and stroller wagons, no matter how small, are not allowed at Disney Parks. This is part of the new Disney stroller regulations from 2019.

If you have a stroller wagon, I know you are super bummed. Stroller wagons are amazing.

Make sure to read my best stroller wagon article to find the perfect one for you, but remember, you can’t use a wagon at Disney. We have the Veer Cruiser wagon, but sadly couldn’t bring it in.

If you are heading to some of the best beaches near Disney World, you can rent one from BabyQuip. I know that I love bringing a stroller wagon to the beach. Wagons hold so much stuff and drive so much easier in the sand compared to a stroller.

If you are in the market for a stroller wagon, make sure to read my Veer wagon review; we love it! It has a really good travel system for your newborn baby in the car seat.

*Note: Wagons are an approved stroller for theme parks other than Walt Disney. For example, wagons are allowed at Universal Orlando. So always check the specific place you are going to.

What are the New Disney Stroller Rules?

Disney updated its stroller regulations in 2019. Only strollers with a maximum width of 31 inches and a maximum length of 52 inches are allowed in all Disney parks.

Specifically, in the new Disney stroller policy, wagons and stroller wagons are not permitted in Disney parks.

What are the Approved Disney Stroller Dimensions Allowed?

Strollers cannot be wider than 31 inches or longer than 52 inches. So, all you have to do is make sure that your stroller size doesn’t exceed these dimensions.

Zoe Twin best double stroller for Disney

5 Best Disney Approved Double Strollers 2024

Double strollers are great for families headed to Walt Disney World and Disney parks with more than one child. Even if your older child doesn’t use a stroller regularly, you should consider letting them stroll.

A full day at  Disney can be exhausting for even the adults. Chances are the big kids will need a break, too.

The different double strollers on the market let families choose the setup that’s right for their family.

Choose from double strollers that are side-by-side or in tandem. Some have car seat adaptors for the baby in the family who is still in an infant car seat, while others have ride-along glider boards for older children.

Here are our 5 of the best approved double strollers for Disney in 2024 on the market, with nearly every option represented.

There are so many great things about the Zoe Twin. The main thing that makes our lives easier is that it’s a lightweight stroller compared to competitors.

We also love that our little ones each have their space in the Zoe Twin. We can recline one for a nap without disturbing the other child. That is priceless. Oh, and the canopy is HUGE. It literally goes down to the snack bar.

The Bugaboo Donkey is a high-end stroller with a price tag of over $1,800. If you are looking for a luxury double stroller, this is it.

There is no denying that it has a high price point. But with a designer stroller comes high quality and comfort.

The truth is that we love our Donkey stroller for everything from daily trips to the park or grocery store.

We also love to use the Donkey at theme parks and Disney World. It’s easy to push and maneuver, and our kids are so comfortable in it.

We used our Bugaboo Donkey on our Disney World 2024 trip when we drove there. We would not fly with our Bugaboo Donkey. It is just too big and heavy.

I would also suggest hiding an Airtag within the stroller. I was always a little nervous that someone would steal it.
